Usually child benefit stops when a young person reaches 16. However if they continue in relevant eduction or training you may be able to continue claiming. In the link section click on HM Custom and Revenue for the most up to date information.

You need to work out how much money you get each week (earnings) and then see what essentials (such as transport)you have to spend your money on (outgoings). You will need to decide which bank you would like to join first of all and then discuss opening an account with them. You will usually need to be able to prove who you are, where you live and complete a form. If you need an account as you have started work or training and are having problems opening one, please speak to your Connexions Adviser.
