Papia

Papia is studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths (AS) in 6th Form and with a combination of subjects like these it is understandable that she is aiming for a career in Medicine – hopefully studying at Cambridge University and getting a PhD.

'I went to Bangladesh to take my GCSEs and when I came back I chose the 6th Form I am in by looking on the internet and visiting different schools. I like the friendly environment and the priority and privileges given to 6th formers. I also like the extra academic help provided if required and the staff are very friendly and co-operative too.'
'I want to be a paediatrician, a surgeon or a researcher because I have an interest in medicine and want to be able to use my scientific knowledge to help cure and prevent diseases.'
'I would advise anyone choosing what to do after Y11 to choose subjects that you are interested in or else you would not enjoy them. And definitely go into Higher Education; it's the best thing ever.'
