What is an Adult Learning Grant?

If you are over 19 and are going back to study for your first Level 2 or Level 3 qualification then you may be able to get £30 a week to help with costs whilst your studying. Check out all the facts at: www.direct.gov.uk.

What are Dance and Drama Awards?

What is the Taylor's Educational Foundation Grant?

This charitable trust exists to provide financial help to people under the age of 25 who live in the area of the former Newburn Urban District Council (being the current Newcastle electoral wards of Newburn, Lemington, Westerhope and Denton).

Grants of up to £100 are available this year to any such person who requires financial assistance with their education or training or to enter any trade or profession.

For instance, grants may be awarded to help buy books, clothing, tools or other equipment, or towards fees or other costs in attending an educational establishment or pursuing an apprenticeship or some other type of training.

Anyone wishing to apply for a grant can do so by letter addressed to:

Applications should give as much detail as possible of what financial assistance is sought, and why, together with your full name and address and date of birth. They must be received by no later than Monday 21 March 2011.

All applications will be considered by the Trustees during the first week of April 2011. Successful applicants will be notified by 11 April 2011.
