Accessing Newcastle Prospectus
The developer of this site, MITAC Partnership Ltd, has tried to make this site as accessible as possible to young people with different needs and requirements.
Design has followed standards and guidelines established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to enable people using special access software and hardware (such as screen readers for visually impaired people) to use the site more easily.
The developer has made every effort to ensure text and graphics are legible. Colour combinations that could make the site difficult to read have been avoided and the Browser's capacity to increase and decrease the size of the text has been preserved.
Text Only and Site Map
Alternative text-only versions are provided to offer choice of high and low contrast. Text can be resized using your Browser's Text Size / Text Zoom options usually located under a View menu or similar. Text-only pages and the site maps are dynamic: new content added via the CMS will be instantly viewable.
Browsers and Computer Equipment
The site has been tested using a number of different browsers and it is suitable for use with modern versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, Firefox, Opera and Safari on all major platforms.
Language
The developer has made every effort to ensure that the content of the site is expressed simply and in a form that can be easily understood. If you have any comments, please contact the development team at MITAC Partnership Ltd.
Access Keys
Many users who cannot use a pointing device like a mouse to navigate around the page need alternative keyboard shortcuts. There are various, and occasionally conflicting, conventions regarding which Access Keys to apply to a particular function. MITAC Partnership Ltd follows the lead of key practitioners in making use of the following.
